About Me
Hello, I’m Soumya Mozumder, a psychology professional with a strong interest in mental health, counselling, human behaviour, and psychological well-being.
I believe that every person has a unique story, and understanding that story is an important part of meaningful psychological support. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, active listening, and evidence-based psychological knowledge.
Through my academic and professional journey, I have developed a particular interest in counselling, human cognition, emotional well-being, and psychological assessment. I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can express themselves openly, understand their experiences, and work towards positive change.
My goal is not simply to provide answers, but to help people understand themselves better, develop healthier ways of coping, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My Philosophy
“Understanding yourself is the first step towards transforming your life.”
I believe psychological support should be accessible, respectful, culturally sensitive, and centred around the individual. Every conversation is an opportunity to listen, understand, and help.
Experience
My professional journey includes 4 years of institutional clinical experience, encompassing structured training, psychological assessment, case formulation, and therapeutic interventions. In addition, I have 1 year of Hospital setup experience, allowing me to apply my knowledge and skills to diverse individuals and their everyday psychological concerns.
My approach combines evidence-based therapies such as CBT and ACT with psychological assessment, relaxation techniques, and biofeedback to provide individualized and practical support.

Relationships
Relationships play an important role in emotional well-being. Difficulties in communication, trust, boundaries, emotional connection, conflict, expectations, or adjustment to life changes can create significant distress. Relationship concerns may involve romantic relationships, marriage, family relationships, friendships, or other important interpersonal connections.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy provides a structured setting where partners can work together on difficulties affecting their relationship. Couples may seek support for communication problems, recurring conflicts, emotional distance, trust difficulties, relationship dissatisfaction, adjustment to major life changes, or other interpersonal concerns.

Traumatic experiences can have a lasting emotional and psychological impact. People may experience distress after events such as serious accidents, violence, abuse, disasters, loss, or other experiences that feel overwhelming or threatening.
